GLOBALEYES believes that sourcing and operating environmentally and sustainably is our corporate responsibility.
We implement solutions that reduce waste and use materials that are good for our planet which makes us a carbon-neutral business.

Transparency

Manufacturers are to provide GLOBALEYES and any nominated auditors access to the site, employees and accurate true records whenever requested.

Production must take place at the nominated site with no sub-contracting permitted.

Bribery, threats, harassment or threats to employees, GLOBALEYES, auditors or customers will never be tolerated.

Child Labour

Workers present at a facility, whether office or factory, cannot be younger than the legal, minimum working age in the host country.

Wages and Benefits

Workers must be paid wages and benefits. These wages and benefits must be paid timely and at a minimum, comply with applicable laws and match current wages for the prevailing local industry.

Forced/Bonded Labour and Discrimination

Forced, bonded, or compulsory labor, as well as corporal punishment, shall not be tolerated.

Employment should be based on the ability to perform the job, and workers should not be discriminated against because of race, creed, politics, personal characteristics, or personal beliefs.

Workers must be provided the ability to take leave without unreasonable restrictions from management.

Workers should not be required to lodge identity papers or ‘deposits’ with the employer.

Employment and Record-Keeping

A personnel file for each worker must be maintained and should include age identification documents and a signed employment agreement.

Either a working time clock or an equivalent system must be utilized to record hours worked.

Workers should have at least one day off in seven, and overtime hours must not exceed 32 hours in a six-day workweek.

Health and Safety

The health and safety of workers should be a priority.

Buildings and machinery must be regularly assessed and must meet the requirements of local laws.

Safety systems, including machinery safety guards, must be regularly assessed and maintained.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be provided and used where applicable.

Environment

Our business partners should share our concern for the environment, adhere to all local and national laws regarding the protection and preservation of our environment.

Authorized providers must be used for the legal disposal of waste materials including wastewater, sludge, and chemicals

Intellectual Property

Business partners must respect the significance of and support the protector of a company’s secrets, patents, trademarks, and copyrighted notes

Ethical Practices

Where not already explicitly stated it is a requirement that all parties adhere to all local and national laws.

Household and Other Items, Furniture, and Packaging
Housewares, Furniture and Packaging Materials

  • Wood and paper materials that have verified FSC®(Forestry Stewardship Council®) certification (FSC® license number FSC-C129381.
  • Promote renewable materials such as bamboo, wood from used rubber trees, and water hyacinth.
  • Recycled plastics and recycled polystyrene foam in recyclable packaging.
  • Ensure our plastic products are BPA-free. Polypropylene (PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET) instead of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polycarbonate (PC), or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) as well as PVC-free packaging materials.

Advising our customers of

  • Processes and recommendations for materials, manufacture, and packaging.
  • Ensure supplier compliance in meeting GLOBALEYES and customer requirements related to chain-of-custody requirements for wood products (we are a member of FSC®– the Forestry Stewardship Council®), components containing reportable minerals (including conflict-free minerals), and their associated testing criteria.
  • Assessments of product risk and traceability of raw material categories.
